Home Care Services in Melbourne
Specialised Living provides in-home care across Melbourne for NDIS participants, older people and anyone who needs extra help to keep living at home. We help with personal care, meals, housework, transport, respite and overnight support, from a small regular team who get to know your routine. Tell us what you need, and we’ll build a plan around it.

Caring for You at Home
Most people would rather stay in their own home as their needs change. Our home care makes that possible with practical, hands-on help that fits around your day, not the other way round. You choose the support, when you need it, and you can change it at any time.
We support NDIS participants through their plans, and we also provide home care for anyone who needs extra help with everyday life. Before we start, we meet with you and your family, listen to what you need, and plan your support together. We then introduce the support workers who will be visiting you, so you know who to expect.
How We Can Help
Our support workers can help with everyday tasks inside and outside the home, including:
- Personal care: showering, dressing, grooming and toileting, done privately and at your pace.
- Personal care: showering, dressing, grooming and toileting, done privately and at your pace.
- Housework: cleaning, laundry, changing beds and keeping walkways clear and safe.
- Medication prompts and reminders, so the right medicines are taken at the right time.
- Support to move safely around the home and reduce the risk of falls.
- Transport and company to medical appointments, the shops and social outings.
- Companionship: conversation, hobbies, a walk, or someone to share a cuppa with.
- Respite care, for a few hours or a regular day, so family carers can rest.
- Overnight care, for nights when someone shouldn't be alone.
If someone in your family is living with a serious illness, see our Palliative Care and End-of-Life Care pages. Not sure what you need? Call 0402 385 436 and we’ll talk it through, with no cost and no obligation.

Personalised Care in Your Home
We visit first, meet you and your family, and write your care plan together. It covers what you need help with, how you like things done, and what you want to keep doing yourself.

Help with Daily Activities and Personal Care
Showering, dressing, meals and housework, done gently and in private. We follow your routine and preferences, and we support you to stay as independent as you can.

The Same Faces Every Week
We roster a small team around each client, so you see the same one or two support workers. Every worker holds an NDIS Worker Screening Check.

Flexible Schedules to Match Your Routine
Short daily visits, longer shifts, weekends, regular respite or overnight support. We work around your routine and change the roster when your needs change.

Working Alongside Your Healthcare Team
Home care works best when everyone is on the same page. We work alongside your GP, specialists, allied health professionals and, where involved, your palliative care team, and we follow the care plans and guidance they give us.
With your consent, we let your health team know when we notice changes, such as a fall, poor appetite, new confusion or a change in mood, so they can act early. Our support is non-clinical your doctors and nurses stay responsible for diagnosis, treatment and medication.
Supporting Your Family
Many families quietly carry most of the care: the showers, the meals, the appointments and the worry. We take on the practical work, so you can be a partner, son or daughter again, not only a carer.
Respite can be a few hours a week, a regular day, or overnight so you can sleep. We keep you updated after visits [confirm how: phone, text or app], and you always have one number to call: 0402 385 436.
