FAQ's

Group & centre activities are typically tied in with community access or community participation. They’re a group of activities the Specialised Living team has chosen based on their ability to help our participants achieve their goals in fun, exciting and entertaining ways.

There’s a range of amazing benefits you can enjoy from engaging in our group and centre activities.

  1.  Teamwork and socialisation: within our community, you’ll have the opportunity to learn teamwork skills, as well as develop social relationships with other participants.
  2. Fine motor skills: many activities in our communities require the use of fine motor skills, such as hand-eye coordination, balance, patterning and more.
  3. Cognitive thinking: engaging in cognitively stimulating activities is essential for healthy brain function as well as adequately preparing you for the workforce.
  4. Sense of achievement: through participation in our programs and activities, individuals can feel a sense of accomplishment and pride – something that’s essential to overall wellbeing

We are constantly expanding our range of activities so if we haven’t listed something that suits you, get in touch with us and we’ll likely be able to develop a solution that suits your needs.
